Looking for the same high quality, but want a bit more for your money? Then TOHO is an obvious choice. TOHO is a Japanese bead brand that, like Miyuki, places great emphasis on precise measurements and uniformity, and the beads are quality-checked continuously throughout production. You'll notice the difference mostly in the price: you get beads of the same strong quality, but typically at a somewhat more reasonable price.

TOHO and Miyuki aren't entirely identical – among other things, there's a slight difference in hole size, which gives the beads their own character. It's worth keeping in mind if you mix them in the same project, but in practice most people work just as happily with both.
