Gold Luster means that a beautiful golden sheen has been added to the color. This finish makes the color appear fuller and makes it easy to match the beads with other colors in your designs.

Luster beads have a shiny, uniform gloss on the surface that enhances the base color and gives the bead extra depth. The luster coating can be clear, colored, or have a golden tone (gold luster).

Durability: Medium to high. Regular luster on non-dyed beads is very durable. Gold luster, however, is less durable — Miyuki states that it may fade from UV exposure and wear off with heavy friction.

Best for: Jewelry where the colors need to really pop, designs with a classic elegant accent, projects for occasional use.
