Beautiful cylinder glass beads from Japanese Miyuki in size 8/0. These beads have the popular Duracoat galvanized color type, known for its shine and extra protection against wear.

About this color type

Duracoat® is Miyuki's own patented protective coating — a thicker and stronger clear coating than traditional surface finishes. It is typically applied on top of dyed or galvanized beads to make them significantly more resistant.

Durability: High. Duracoat protects against scratches, fading from sunlight, and chemical wear from things like perfume and lotion. Note that Duracoat improves durability — but doesn't provide 100% protection, so it's still a good idea to avoid getting the beads wet and keep them away from direct sunlight when storing.

Best for: Jewelry for everyday use, bracelets and necklaces that are exposed to wear, projects where you want to ensure the color lasts for years.
