Description

The color type Opaque Matte AB consists of Miyuki's classic base colors such as black, white, red, green, and purple. The color goes all the way through the bead, which makes this type very reliable and colorfast. The surface is treated to become less smooth and more subdued in appearance. Additionally, the beads have received an AB coating (Aurora Borealis), which adds a beautiful multicolored sheen that reflects light in a unique way.

About this color type

Opaque Matte beads have a matte, non-reflective surface on a solid opaque base color. The glossy surface is etched to appear frosted, giving a soft, muted look — the same color, but a completely different look compared to regular opaque.

Durability: High. The color is permanent in the glass. The matte finish can become polished smooth with heavy wear over the years, but otherwise holds up well.

Best for: Modern, minimalist designs, Scandi-inspired looks, combinations with matte stones and natural materials.
