Miyuki Delica beads in the color Duracoat Semi-Frosted Silverlined Dyed Honeysuckle with a silver core that provides extra depth and shine, combined with a lightly frosted surface. The Duracoat coating protects the colored silver core significantly better against wear and oxidation. Note that the Duracoat coating may make the bead hole slightly smaller.

Duracoat® is Miyuki's own patented protective coating — a thicker and stronger clear coating than traditional surface finishes. It is typically applied on top of dyed or galvanized beads to make them significantly more resistant.

Durability: High. Duracoat protects against scratches, fading from sunlight, and chemical wear from things like perfume and lotion. Note that Duracoat improves durability — but doesn't provide 100% protection, so it's still a good idea to avoid getting the beads wet and keep them away from direct sunlight when storing.

Best for: Jewelry for everyday use, bracelets and necklaces that are exposed to wear, projects where you want to ensure the color lasts for years.

Silverlined Dyed beads are silver-lined beads that have had a color added from the outside. This allows Miyuki to create intense pink tones, deep purple shades, and fluorescent neon colors — combined with the shimmering effect of the silver core.

Durability: Low to medium. The dyed color can fade from sun exposure, sweat, and chemicals. The inner silver core lasts, but the outer color layer is vulnerable.

Best for: Earrings, bead embroidery, decorative projects, and party jewelry where the beads aren't exposed to constant skin contact or UV light.
