Azurite is a blue copper-containing mineral stone, often found together with malachite.
It is especially known for its intense blue shades, which can vary from dark royal blue to lighter blue/green tones.

The stone forms through the weathering of copper ore and is found, among other places, in Africa, Australia, and the USA.

Azurite is popular in jewelry because of its beautiful color play and natural pattern. Over time, it can change color towards green if it transforms into malachite – which is a completely natural process.
