Miyuki seed beads are small glass beads of high quality, known for their uniform shape and color.

The color type is opaque matte AB.
Opaque colors are Miyuki's base colors, such as black, white, red, green, and purple. The surface is treated so that the bead appears less smooth and less shiny. AB (Aurora Borealis) is an extra coating that gives a beautiful multicolored effect.

About this color type

Opaque Matte beads have a matte, non-reflective surface on a solid opaque base color. The glossy surface is etched to appear frosted, giving a soft, muted look — same color, completely different look than regular opaque.

Durability: High. The color is permanent in the glass. The matte finish can be polished smooth with heavy wear over the years, but otherwise holds up well.
