Opaque Matte-perler har en mat, ikke-reflekterende overflade på en solid opaque-grundfarve. Den blanke flade er ætset til at fremstå frostet, hvilket giver et blødt, dæmpet udtryk — samme farve, helt andet udtryk end almindelig opaque.
