Opaque beads are opaque with a pure, solid color and no translucency. The color comes from the glass itself, giving a strong and uniform color expression in your beadwork.

Durability: High. When the beads are opaque without dyed color, the color will stay beautiful over time without fading. Be aware that some opaque beads may be "opaque dyed" — where the color has been added externally and is therefore more sensitive to sun and chemicals.

Durability: High. The Ceylon coating is very durable when applied to non-dyed glass. If the bead is "Ceylon dyed" or "color-lined Ceylon", the colorfastness depends on the inner color layer.
